This list is updated periodically (once weekly as needed) as new listings and updates are received by the synod office. Synod staff openings are listed first, followed by congregation and ministry setting listings.

  • Nurse: Faith Community/Parish – Vermont Lutheran Church (Black Earth)
    We are seeking a Registered nurse (RN) (preferred) or Licensed practical nurse (LPN) licensed in Wisconsin with certification as a Faith Community Nurse (or the willingness to obtain – 8 week on-line course). Minimum of one year of clinical experience. Must be compassionate and possess strong interpersonal skills. The position allows you to set your own schedule, working part-time.   • Financial Secretary – St. John’s Lutheran Church (Prairie du Sac)
    St John’s Lutheran Church Sauk City WI is seeking to fill a position for a financial secretary. This position requires an average of 10 hours per week. This position reports directly to the Lead pastor of St John’s, or in the absence of a lead pastor, to the Executive Council of St John’s. The goal of this position is to provide the necessary management, and attention to detail to ensure that church financial matters comply with St John’s Lutheran Church, Federal, and State of Wisconsin fiscal management and taxation requirements.   • Director of Youth Ministry – St. James Lutheran Church (Verona)
    The Director of Youth Ministry (“Director”) will oversee middle and high school youth programming and youth family engagement of St. James Lutheran Church (“St. James”). The Director will design ministries where youth and family members may receive, grow, and give Christ’s love in service to the world. The Director will work in conjunction with the Director of Children’s Ministry and the Children, Youth and Family Ministry Committee (“CYFMC”). This position reports to Pastor Peter Narum as a vital team member of the staff at St. James. This position is approximately 20-32 hours per week, including Wednesday evenings, Sunday mornings, and 10-12 hours at St. James during normal business hours.   • Volunteer Coordinator – Our Savior’s Lutheran Church (Sun Prairie)
    The Volunteer Coordinator will be the lead recruiter and liaison in identifying and matching people with their associated talents. They would schedule volunteers for the various Church committees, activities and functions of the Church. 10-15 hours per week (on average) including Sunday mornings and hours as needed for church functions related to the position.Compensation $15-$19/hour, commensurate with qualifications and experience.   • Bookkeeper – New Life Church (Madison)
    Medium-size church is seeking a bookkeeper for 5 to 10 hours per week. Duties include, but are not limited to, payroll for a staff of six plus the minister as well as reconciliation of accounts and some report generation. The best fit would be proficiency in the use of QuickBooks and familiarity with non-profit accounting, specifically as it relates to a church. On-site within the local area is required.
