Below are positions that are available in our synod congregations, the synod office, and/or from our ELCA and Ecumenical partners. This list is updated periodically (once weekly as needed) as new listings and updates are received by the synod office. Synod staff openings are listed first, followed by congregation and ministry setting listings.

  • Office Secretary (Part-Time) – St. John Lutheran Church (Reedsburg)
    The office secretary is a part-time position with St. John Ev. Lutheran Church. This position reports to the Office Manager and works in collaboration with the Church Council and Designated Boards. Work hours are scheduled during the days of Monday through Thursday, from 9 AM to 3 PM. Compensation based on experience.   • Contemporary Music Director (Part-Time) – First Lutheran Church (Beaver Dam)
    This position will lead congregation and volunteer singers during the contemporary service on Sundays. This could entail vocal or instrumental guidance. The Contemporary Music Director will need to be able to troubleshoot music programs in order to make sure lyrics and music run smoothly during service. This position is also involved in the planning and coordinating of the services music. They will need to collaborate with pastor and band on music choices. This position is important in providing an inclusive and meaningful worship experience.

  • Youth Director – First Lutheran Church (Beaver Dam)
    This position needs to support, advocate for, and strengthen the youth ministry. The Youth Director will primarily be responsible for supporting and developing participation in middle school and high school youth: education, fellowship, service, and building relationships. This will be accomplished through a multitude of programs: First Communion, Confirmation, summer mission trips, ELCA Youth Gathering, and other local community events. The Youth Director will be working in collaboration with the Pastor and our dedicated team of volunteers. It is heavily encouraged to become a part of congregational life and local community culture. This creates opportunities to establish relationships and a deep foundation with our youth. The Youth Director needs to be an established leader, preferably with prior youth ministry experience, and a degree in a related field. Must demonstrate a theology and values in harmony with the congregation’s mission, vision, and values
