This Synod Assembly will be held via full videoconference set up and replaces our previously described 12-site assembly as the pandemic orders limit us to 10 people per location, making an expected voting population of 400-500 impossible to divide into smaller video locations across the synod. To be very clear, voting members will participate from their homes.
Visitors and guests will be able to watch the assembly LIVE via YouTube and on this page on August 29.
If you are a voting member you will need:
As was communicated previously, the early bird rate until June 30 was $25 and now the rate is $30. While this rate does not cover our cost of $72 per voting member, we are extending this lower rate as a way of removing financial burden for congregations who might be struggling during this time. If, however, your congregation or you personally are able to give more, you can do so on the registration site in the optional items area, “Donation to Offset Expenses.” Donations will be greatly appreciated.
So if you are not yet registered, please register now. You must be registered by August 14. Because of the way we are managing credentialing for the videoconference and need to provide Lumi with our registration list, there will be no exceptions to this deadline. You will need to register by midnight on August 14.

If you are a non-rostered (not a pastor or a deacon) committee chairperson of one of the synod’s ministry teams or you are a rostered leader who is rostered in our synod and is currently on leave from call or have disability status you have the privilege of voice, but not vote, at our assembly. Please call Deacon Vicki Hanrahan at (608) 270-0201 if you would like to attend assembly. We do ask that you cover the $30 fee. Vicki will assist you to register. Please do NOT try to register online if you fall into these categories.

Reports from the public witness work groups, ministry partners, and agencies and institutions affiliated with the South-Central Synod of Wisconsin and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America are contained in the Bulletin of Reports.
These reports outline the array of work we undertake together in the South-Central Synod of Wisconsin and as part of the whole church as we carry out global ministries, seek to become more inclusive and loving to all, develop resources and equip leaders, advocate for justice and the common good, care for God’s creation, serve the needs of the poor and marginalized, and find new, collaborative, effective ways to work together as the body of Christ in the world.
