And God Said It is Good Sunday was birthed at the 2009 Synod Assembly in June as a resolution to be united in witness to Christ through the Churchwide expression of the ELCA.  The resolution's goal to raise a minimum of $1 per baptized member was overwhelmingly approved by the assembly.
