Your Friends of Campus Ministry gift has impact on the three South-Central Synod of Wisconsin campus ministry sites. Campus ministry at UW-Madison, UW-Platteville and UW-Whitewater invites people in academic settings more deeply into Jesus Christ and the community that bears his name, so that they can discover and fulfill their vocation as disciples.

Campus Ministry UW-Whitewater
A trip to a cathedral, synagogue and mosque invited students to more fully understand their neighbors. Christian, Jewish and Muslim students all traveled together to learn about each other and their different faiths.

Campus MinistryUW-Platteville
No stereotypical beaches and beverages for students from
UW-Platteville. Their spring break service trips have them working in shelters, aiding persons with HIV, preparing and serving meals. In a nutshell, being Christ in the world.

Campus MinistryUW-Madison
As the first campus ministry site in the country, there is a long history of deep and rich ministry. Bread and wine are shared, prayers are spoken, faith is nurtured. Campus disciples are sent.

Generosity
Through worship, study, fellowship, and service, members of these academic communities experience the fullness of God’s grace through your generosity.

We invite you to join us in becoming a

Mission PensacolaUW Platteville Shares Ministry Report and Stories of Faith Life on UW-Platteville Campus
Hello from Lutheran Campus Ministry at University of Wisconsin-Platteville! We are a ministry of First English Lutheran Church, and are blessed to be located just a couple of blocks from campus. The people of First English incredibly welcoming. Our church building is open every day, and often you’ll find students lounging or studying here. We love it that they feel at home here!

Pensacola Mission TripCollege can be a time of joy, anxiety, challenge, and growth. Students are very spiritual and hunger to push the boundaries of their faith. Lutheran Campus Ministry provides a safe place where students can explore where God is calling them. At UW- Platteville, this takes many forms. We host a weekly supper (graciously provided by members of the congregation) followed by a “Table Talk” discussion, led by students on topics of their choice. Lutheran Campus Ministry also hosts outings like bowling and hiking. We play and pray and work together!

Students who get involved with Lutheran Campus Ministry worship in many ways. They lead prayer services and play praise songs. They worship God with their hands as they participate in service projects. This year, we travelled to Pensacola, Florida, to work with Habitat for Humanity. It was a transformative trip for all of us.
